Dina Meyer (Barbara Gordon, a.k.a. Oracle)
Barbara Gordon thought she'd spend her life fighting evil as Batgirl, alongside her mentor Batman. But, a bullet from Joker's gun changed all that. Paralyzed, Barbara remakes herself into Oracle, a master of computers and weaponry. Taking on the role as leader of the Birds of Prey is accomplished actress Dina Meyer.

Meyer calls Queens, N.Y. home. Interested in performing at an early age, she studied dance and was accepted into the pretigious High School of the Performing Arts in New York. Her parents urged her to follow a more academic path so Meyer obtained a degree in Business Administration from Long Island University and attended the Sorbonne in Paris. Finally free to pursue her love of acting, she returned to New York and studied under Ron Stetson.

Fans of "Beverly Hills, 90210" know Dina Meyer from her role as Lucinda Nicholson, the professor who carried on an affair with Jason Priestley's character Brandon. She has also guest-starred on "Friends," "Ally McBeal," and most recently, "Six Feet Under." Her film debut was opposite Keanu Reeves in the sci-fi thriller "Johnny Mnemonic." Roles in "Dragonheart" and "Starship Troopers" followed. She can soon be seen in the feature film "Star Trek: Nemesis" as the Romulan Commander Donatra.

Meyer lives in Santa Monica, CA and spends her free time rollerblading, snowboarding and practicing Pilates.

Ashley Scott (Helena Kyle, a.k.a. Huntress)
Helena Kyle was devastated when the Joker's men murdered her mother Serena Kyle - Catwoman in another life. Little did she know that her father is Bruce Wayne, the infamous Batman. Played by newcomer Ashley Scott, Helena is determined to protect New Gotham, so she becomes Huntress by night.

Scott's career in the spotlight began during her childhood, when she left her South Carolina home to model in New York. She eventually hit the runways in Paris, Miami and London. Success in front of the camera led her to acting. She landed a recurring role on "Dark Angel," as Asha Copeland, a member of a rebel group seeking freedom, opposite series star Jessica Alba. Her feature film debut soon followed, as "Gigolo Jane" (appearing next to Jude Law as "Gigolo Joe") in Steven Spielberg's "A.I.: Artificial Intelligence."

Living in Los Angeles with her two pet Australian tree frogs, Scott horseback rides, cooks and hangs out with friends in her spare time.

Rachel Skarsten (Dinah)
Rachel Skarsten is Dinah, a teenager who has run away from home after being taunted over her visions and mind-reading capabilities. She finds herself in New Gotham, having "witnessed" Batgirl's shooting and Catwoman's death years earlier, she thinks she may be able to help now that she's old enough.

Skarsten, while born and raised in Canada is of Norwegian descent and speaks the language fluently. On her list of accomplishments is: studing ballet with Toronto's Royal Academy of Dance and performing classic ballets such as "Peter Pan" and "Romeo and Juliet"; attending the Claude Watson Art School and becoming the featured cellist in the orchestra; and being the hockey goalie on the team that won the Toronto City Championships.

Her acting career has advanced quickly. Skarsten landed a national commercial spot on her first audition, was hired to play Bess in the TV series "Little Men" and has starred in the television movies "Angels in the Infield" and "Jewel," with Farrah Fawcett. She can be soon be seen in the upcoming feature film "Virginia's Run," co-starring Gabriel Byrne.

Skarsten will move to Los Angeles with her family to film Birds of Prey. In her spare time she likes to sketch, paint and hang out with her friends.

Shemar Moore (Jake Reese)
Detective Jake Reese, played by Shemar Moore, is a good New Gotham cop who has his own suspicions about what's really going bump in the night.

Moore's childhood was filled with adventure as his family traveled everywhere from Pakistan to Bahrain to Denmark before landing back in Northern California when he was six. Growing up, Moore worked as a model and pursued his love of baseball and acting, attending Santa Clara University on a baseball scholarship and earning degrees in Communications and Theater Arts. When a shoulder injury ended his dreams of a baseball career, Moore headed into acting full time.

In 1994 he beat out 350 other actors for a part on "The Young and The Restless," eventually earning a Daytime Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2000. Along with earning five successive NAACP Image Awards, Moore hosts "Soul Train" and has landed feature film roles in "The Brothers," with D.L. Hughley, Bill Bellamy and Morris Chestnut, and "Hav Plenty." His television guest starring credits include "Chicago Hope," "Moesha," "Living Single," "For Your Love," and "The Jamie Foxx Show."

Moore lives in Los Angeles and has had the dubious honor of being a voted-off contestant on "The Weakest Link." [back to top]
